Isabella is the heart of this place. Through her farm Magarìe she grows ancient grains and hemp, produces extra-virgin olive oil, pasta and flour, and transforms the wild herbs of the Cilento into natural body-care products. At her side are Cesare, a painter, and Mamma Pina, in the kitchen every evening: her dishes speak of the season, of ingredients that are largely home-grown, of that Cilento culinary tradition which is itself a UNESCO Heritage as the heartland of the Mediterranean Diet. Mornings begin with breakfast: farm produce, familiar flavours, no rush. In the evening, Mamma Pina brings the flavours of the territory to the table: ingredients gathered or grown here, recipes that change with the seasons. The rooms are simple, carefully arranged, without televisions — the spectacle is already outside the window. In your room you will find Magarìe products as your welcome kit, available on request in place of the standard amenities. Whatever you don’t use, take home with you.
